New adventurous playground near ferry in Krog

Area of Mura in Slovenia is part of cross-border biosphere reserve Mura-Drava-Donava which expands over 700 km long green belt across more than 800.000 hectares and goes through five countries: Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia. Incredible natural richness of river Mura and its flooded world combined with culture and historical inheritance as well as traditional attachment of local population to the river is appropriate area to create model of sustainable development and has been recognized as such in 2018 by Unesco. Ever since then Mura has been signed in biosphere area and is the first biosphere area in the world that includes five countries.

River Mura offers several possibilities of spending free time in its green haven.

On both riverbanks of Mura there are several bike trails, learning trail with classroom in the nature and if the water is good, there is also ferry that can carry you across Mura river. The bravest can go down the river with kayak with Kayak canoe club Mura from Krog and for the youngest there is adventurous playground near the river. Arrangement of the area was possible due to Interreg project Go in Nature.
