Now is the time to eliminate disposable plastics from Slovenian tourism
The basis of Slovenian tourism is nature and care to preserve it for our descendants. Waste is a part of everyday life, and its volume increases with tourist visits. Not all plastics are in dispute, but disposable plastics. The Covid-19 pandemic has further encouraged the use of single-use plastics, so now is the time to gradually eliminate it from Slovenian tourism and communicate this to our guests, who expect sustainable solutions in a green destination.
We exclude the 4 most problematic items: bottles, plastic glasses, plastic food packaging, plastic packaging in hotel rooms.
Tourist providers and destinations who are determined to eliminate disposable plastics from their business are invited to sign a commitment – an approach to the commitment to LESS plastics, MORE durability.
