The Municipality of Murska Sobota is committed to sustainable
The green policy of Slovenian tourism defines the fundamental commitment of Slovenian tourism to operate according to sustainable principles and to constantly strive for improvements.
By signing the Green Covenant of Slovenian Tourism, the Municipality of Murska Sobota adopts 10 sustainable principles, with which it is committed to sustainable operation and continuous efforts to improve and to co-create a healthy, green and heartfelt tourist destination.
The signing of the GREEN COMMITMENT is one of the eight activities of the destination for obtaining the Slovenia Green Destination label.
The mayor Aleksander Jevšek signed the commitment at the event “Jesenska igriva ulica” AUTUMN PLAYFUL STREET – Strengthen health with local food, which took place in the city center on Saturday, September 11, 2021. The event focused on creative workshops with natural materials and providers of local products. Visitors learned about the story of honey, the importance of fruits and vegetables for our health, green gold – pumpkin oil.
