Summer in the City!
When the last act of the festival Soboški dnevi is played, the Festival Soboško poletje (Sobota summer) and the Festival Hidden yard are already starting. Free concerts, shows and events in several venues, in July and August.
Every Friday in July and August will be followed by excellent concerts, very different genres of music from ethno, swing, rock, all the way to pop. The Big Band from Čakovec with the Zagreb singer Ivana Galić is coming, the trio DO-RO-JA from Sobos are coming to the Sobos summer stage on the occasion of their 40th anniversary of creation. Many of their friends will perform as guests at the concert. It will be followed by a concert by this year’s winners at the EMA and thus our representatives at the Eurosong, this is a young band: LPS – Last pizza slice. The next concert will be the Sekou Kouyate Experience. He is one of the greatest virtuosos on the 21 string African harp “Kora”. The way he plays has earned this Guinean musician the nickname Africa’s Jimmy Hendrix. The Slovenian audience already knows him. There will be another treat for all lovers of African music and their artists. This time it will be a singer with incredible energy, WIYAALE, who comes from Ghana and is one of the most successful African artists in Europe. As in the past few years, the Soboška summer cannot be celebrated without Dalmatian music – this year it will be Klapa Capris. The second to last will be performed by excellent “Beatles” imitators. Beatles tribute The Halp! The summer in Sobos will be closed by the very popular local group ŠPIRIT.

The M. Sobota Institute for Culture, Tourism and Sports, which organizes the Soboško summer and the Hidden Courtyard, will also take care of children. Every Saturday at 10 a.m., there will be a performance for children on the stage of Trg kulture, as always.
A small yard, with a lot of warmth
The set of Saturday evening concerts for musical connoisseurs, Skrito džorieje, will also be held at the same location this year – in the courtyard behind Hranilnica Prekmurskih Dobrot, on Slovenska Street. The opening act will belong to the Ljubljana music collective Wckd Nation, which quickly established itself as one of the most exciting young bands in Slovenia with its recognizable jazz-pop sound and conquered the domestic radio waves. Every Saturday thereafter, there will be performances by artists such as: Bossa de novo, Jan Kus and & “Slavo Rican assembly” feat. Vesna Pisarović, New European quartet, Mascara, Borut Mori and Andrej Ofak and Zala Smolnikar with a trio. At the end of August, the Hidden Courtyard will be completed by local artists: Valter ego.
On two Thursdays, the “Library under the stars” will also be at the same location in the Hidden courtyard. On Thursday, July 28, at 9 p.m., a literary evening with musical accompaniment: Uroš Perić and Maja Keuc (CHEEK TO CHEEK project), and on Thursday, August 25, at 8 p.m. – Poetry and Wine Days, with a musical performance : Darja Švajger and Jaka Pucihar.
